READ-IT presentation at the Institut Universitaire de France annual Conference, Strasbourg, May 28th-31st

Brigitte Ouvry-Vial will present READ-IT at the the Institut Universitaire de France annual Conference. Within the context of an intersectorial conference on “Transmission”, the purpose is to revisit the infamous formula coined by Marshall McLuhan in light of the 1960ies rise of audiovisual media threatening the so called Gutenberg Galaxy. While a 3 rd generation of interdisciplinary research on reading in the age of digitization attempts at an integrated approach can this formula help reshape our understanding of how reading evolved through technological changes? And how can READ-IT contribute to advances in this field of research?
